:bible:

In the beginning
God created the heavens and the earth.
(Gen 1:1)

"The beginning"
means more than
just a beginning of a period.
It reveals the head to the project,
which began in the creation.

:bible:

all things
have been created through him,
and unto him;
and he is before all things,
and in him all things consist
(Col 1:16-17)

He presents Himself also
in The New Testament
as The beginning.

:bible:

These things saith the Amen,
the faithful and true witness,
the beginning ...
(Rev 3:14)

Even
in the last chapter of the Bible,
he says:

:bible:

I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the end,
the first and the last.
 (Rev 22:13)

The Father,
the Son
and the Holy Spirit
is God
Who created the heavens and the earth.

The main character
in the Bible is
the Son,
who is even called
the Word of God.

:bible:

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him;
and without him
was not any thing made
that was made.
In him was life;
and the life was the light of men.
(John 1:1-4)

The material world has its origins through Him.
But He has also given life.
He has created the heavens and the earth
as well as living beings.

:bible:

By the word of the LORD
were the heavens made;
and all the host of them
by the breath of his mouth.
(Ps 33:6)

After the starry heavens
and all the host of heaven
was created,
created the Earth.
This order is also reflected
in the speech of God to Job:

:bible:

Where wast thou
when I laid the foundations of the earth?
declare, if thou hast understanding.
Who hath laid the measures thereof,
if thou knowest?
or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened?
or who laid the corner stone thereof;
When the morning stars
sang together,
and all the sons of God
shouted for joy?
(Job 38:4-7)

Just as the creation of the heavens included
the heavenly bodies and the living forces,
included the creation of the earth
also the living beings:

:bible:

not as waste did he create it (Is 45:18)

God continues speaking to Job,
and highlights Behemoth.

:bible:

Behold now behemoth,
which I made with thee;
he eateth grass as an ox.
...
He is the chief of the ways of God:
he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
Surely the mountains bring him forth food,
where all the beasts of the field play.
(Job 40:15-20)

At the end of the first verse of the Bible
we have wonderful situation
in the heavens and on earth.

The morning stars sang together,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy.
On earth the animals playd.
The most awesome of them ate grass like an ox.
There was no fear, nor dread.
Peace, love and harmony
filled the heavens and the earth.

Unfortunately that beauty was shattered.
And as a result,
the earth faced the destruction and chaos.
Darkness was upon the face of the deep.
